She further adds: “When I answered the phone as people called, It took me a while to figure out what the customer wanted and then to find all the information related to the sale. Now the customer sets an appointment and I can research the issue or the pre-sale question in advance. It’s amazing how much shorter the calls are and how much happier the customers are.”
She sums it up by saying “If we had known how effective this system was with helping to resolve issues or with increasing sales we would have used it long ago. It really changes the dynamic of the interaction and results in a great satisfaction on both us and the customer. We enjoy being able to give good answers and to know that we have resolved any issues before we even call the customer.

That makes perfect sense! At least this way, both customer and agent are given a satisfactory amount of time to do research regarding the problem or inquiry at hand. Other companies could learn a lot if they emulate this technique, too.
