Continental has new Black Chili Compound tires.
The green ones I picked from the garden look better and there really aren't any chili peppers in the tires from Continental, but... the folks there want you to know that if you ride one of these tires, you will feel like you ate a hot pepper and would start to sweat. Or so the marketers would hope. We think the tires with the Chili compound all have very nice supple feels with intricate detailing in the tread and on the shoulder of the tire. Packaged in a masculine orange and black box with a small instruction sheet, Chili tires are the latest from one of the oldest manufacturers in the business.
